Cowboys Star Micah Parsons Is Not at Offseason Activities for a Surprising Reason

While at a charity event for Hat Creek Burgers in Dallas on Wednesday, Cowboys star Micah Parsons told reporters that he is not attending the team’s voluntary offseason program for a surprising reason. The two-time Pro Bowler is focusing on bulking up and adding weight to play defensive end full time in 2023.

Parsons has played linebacker for Dallas since he was drafted in 2021, but it appears that he’ll exclusively be coming off the edge this upcoming season. He added that he will return for Cowboys organized team activities, though, per Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Parsons is registered at 245 pounds while standing at 6’3,” already making him a load to handle as a pass rusher. He has been named first-team All-Pro in both of his first two NFL seasons and tallied 13.5 sacks, 26 quarterback hits and 13 tackles for loss in 2022 alone.

If anything, this change in position and the addition of some more muscle will make the 23-year-old even more feared throughout opposing quarterback rooms.
