Cowboys set for 'lives depend on it' finals display

There have been several diamonds in the rough during North Queensland's uneven season and hooker Reed Mahoney insists several more polished gem displays are left in the team in the NRL finals.

The Cowboys are underdogs in the elimination final against Cronulla at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night, and rightly so with the defence of the Todd Payten-coached outfit having been atrocious far too often.
