Cowboys OL Tyler Biadasz Poised to Sign With Dallas Rival

Former Dallas Cowboys center Tyler Biadasz is expected to sign with the Washington Commanders after the new league year begins Wednesday, according to multiple reports. The deal is for three years and is worth $30 million, per The Washington Post’s Nicki Jhabvala

Biadasz was a unanimous All-America selection in 2019 during his at Wisconsin and went on to be selected in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL draft by Dallas, where he’s flourished. He’s started 49 games over the past three seasons

He was selected to his first Pro Bowl in 2022, and he was just as impressive in ’23. Biadasz allowed a pressure on 4.8% of his pass blocks last season, which was the fourth-lowest figure among centers (minimum 300 pass blocks), per Next Gen Stats.

Former Dallas Cowboys center Tyler Biadasz reportedly will sign with the archrival Washington Commanders after the new league year begins.

Washington is in sore need of help up front. Commanders centers allowed a 7.5% pressure rate in 2023, sixth-highest in the NFL. Washington finished at the bottom of the NFC East this past season with a 4–13 record, while Dallas won the division at 12–5.

Now Biadasz follows former Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn to Washington. Quinn was hired by the Commanders last month to replace fired coach Ron Rivera.
