Facing heavy criticism following his poor performance against Seattle on Monday Night Football, Giants quarterback Daniel Jones oddly found support from a bitter NFC East rival.
Jones, who threw two interceptions, including one that was returned 97-yards for a touchdown, was under siege the entire game due to abysmal play of New York’s offensive line. The franchise is being bashed for their decision to extend the fifth-year signal-caller with an $160 million deal instead of signing star running back Saquon Barkley to a long-term deal.
On Tuesday, Cowboys star defensive end Micah Parsons came to the defense of Jones on X, formerly known as Twitter, instead seeming to place the blame on a porous offensive line that allowed Jones to be sacked 10 times by Seattle defenders.
In response to a video clip showing members of the Seahawks front easily breaking through the line up the middle, untouched, Parsons had a simple response.
“Very easy to say it’s Daniel jones…..” the two-time Pro Bowler wrote.

Parsons knows first hand just how New York’s offensive line has struggled after leading the way for a Dallas defense that sacked Jones seven times in the Cowboys’ 40–0 blowout of the Giants back in Week 1.
Although one of the NFL’s best pass-rushers was defending Jones on Tuesday, you can rest assured he will be getting after him once again when the rivals meet for a second time this season in Week 10 at AT&T Stadium.
