Cowboys cruise to big win over Storm in final NRL trial

Coach Todd Payten says his North Queensland outfit still have plenty to work on despite scoring seven tries en route to a 36-24 victory over Melbourne in their final NRL pre-season hit-out.

Three tries in the final 10 minutes made the scoreline more flattering for the Storm in their Sunday encounter in Casey in outer south-east Melbourne, with the Cowboys otherwise outclassing the 2024 grand finalists.
