'Coward' driver left best friend to die on roadside after causing fatal crash

A disqualified driver who raced through streets like he was in a 'rally car' left his best friend to die on the road after causing a horror crash.

David Chorlton had been travelling in a Ford Focus with four passengers including best friend of 10-years Philip Ogden, Manchester Evening News reports.

Minshull Street Crown Court heard how the defendant was captured on CCTV tearing around Stalybridge and performing handbrake turns in May last year.
