A dad-of-four who thought he had long-Covid was actually suffering from a brain tumour that was weeks away from killing him. Dave Stubbs, 43, had been experiencing a range of symptoms which he had put down to stress, but after feeling an 'explosion' in his head he made the decision to contact his GP.
To Dave's astonishment, doctors told him he had been living with a brain tumour for nine to 15 years and that he was only weeks away from a fatal collapse. The police detective admitted he would have kept pinning the symptoms on stress from work, therefore Dave credits Covid as the reason he is still alive.
Dave, from Kidsgrove, Staffordshire, had surgery to remove the cancer, but doctors were unable to completely remove the tumour due to it being wrapped around the main vein in his brain. Dave is now facing two years of therapy to hopefully improve the life-changing effects the surgery had on his brain, reports StokeonTrentLive.
