Positive Covid tests have risen by more than 50% in Liverpool City Region.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, the Liverpool City Region recorded 2,678 cases in the week ending June 20, which is 941 more cases than the previous week.
This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure rose by 54% in the Liverpool City Region.

In each individual area of the Liverpool City Region, the week-on-week percentage change figure rises were: 69% in Knowsley; 61% in Liverpool; 23% in Halton; 53% in St Helens; 49% in Wirral; and, 62% in Sefton.
Cheshire West and Chester, West Lancs, and Warrington recorded rises in psoitive Covid tests in the week ending June 20.
And the week-on-week percentage change figure for England, as a whole, went up by 30%.
Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 846 cases in the week ending June 20, which is 321 more cases than the previous week. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure rose by 61%. The latest infection rate was 169.0 cases per 100,000 people.
Wirral
Wirral's positive tests came to 523 cases in the week ending June 20, which is 172 more cases than in the previous seven days. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure rose by 49%. The latest infection rate was 161.3 cases per 100,000 people.
Halton
There were 234 positive tests over the last week - that's 43 more cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change figure rose by 23% in Halton in the week ending June 20. The latest infection rate is 180.3 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There was a total of 315 cases in the week ending June 20, which is 109 more cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in St Helens is 173.9 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure rose by 53%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 251 cases in the week ending June 20, which is 102 more cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in Knowsley is 164.6 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure rose by 69%.
Sefton
Sefton had a total of 509 cases in the week ending June 20, which is a 194 more cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate is 184.5 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases rose by 62% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 2,678 positive tests over in the week ending June 20, which is 941 more cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change rose by 54%. The latest infection rate is 157.28 cases per 100,000 people.
Warrington
There were 359 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending June 20, which is 77 more cases than the previous week. The week-on-week percentage figure rose by 27%. There was an infection rate of 171.44 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 573 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending June 20, which is 152 more cases than the previous week. The week-on-week percentage figure rose by 36%. There was an infection rate of 166.66 per 100,000 people.
West Lancs
There were 191 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending June 20, which is 55 more cases than the previous week. The latest infection rate in West Lancs is 166.82 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage rose by 40% in cases.
England
In the week ending June 20, England recorded 90,991 coronavirus cases, which is 20,975 more cases than in the previous seven days. The week-on-week percentage rose by 30% in England. There was an infection rate of 160.90 per 100,000 people.
