Covid mapping: BMC, NKDA, one Kolkata ward have over 10 cases each

KOLKATA: Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA), along with one ward under Kolkata Municipal Corporation, have been categorized as pink zone in the latest Covid-19 mapping by the state health department. Periodically done in order to detect any upsurge in infection — civic body-wise, ward-wise and block-wise across 28 districts — the first such mapping was done in May beginning. Health department sources said nothing untoward has been detected this time, too, but such activities will go on.

Three colours — pink, black and green — have been used as codes where pink is used for areas with more than 10 cases, black for less than five cases and green for zero or only one case.
