Covid Ireland: 20,000 cases in three days as Stephen Donnelly warns of hospital surge

Stephen Donnelly

Health Minister Stephen Donnelly has warned the number of people in hospital with Covid-19 is remaining high as almost 20,000 positive tests have been recorded.

He said thousands of positive tests are still being confirmed every day which is having a “knock on effect” on hospitals.

Over the last three days, 19,852 Covid positive cases have been recorded by NPHET.
