Positive Covid tests have risen by almost two thirds in the Liverpool City Region.
According to the latest data from Public Health England the Liverpool City Region there were 1,737 cases in the week ending June 13, which is 677 more than the previous week.
This meant there was a week-on-week percentage change increase of 64% in the Liverpool City Region.

The rises were rises in all of the invividual areas of the Liverpool City Region were. The increases were: 48% in Knowsley; 75% in Liverpool; 68% in Halton; 56% in St Helens; 56% in Wirral; and, 68% in Sefton.
There were also rises in Cheshire West and Chester, Warrington, and West Lancs.
The week-on-week percentage change figure rose by 51% In England as a whole.
Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 525 cases in the week ending June 13, which is 225 more cases than the previous week. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure rose by 75%. The latest infection rate was 104.9 cases per 100,000 people.
Wirral
Wirral's positive tests came to 351 cases in the week ending June 13, which is 126 more cases than in the previous seven days. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure rose by 56%. The latest infection rate was 108.2 cases per 100,000 people.
Halton
There were 191 positive tests over the last week - that's 77 more cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change figure rose by 68% in Halton in the week ending June 13. The latest infection rate is 147.2 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There was a total of 206 cases in the week ending June 13, which is 74 more cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in St Helens is 113.8 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure increased by 56%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 149 cases in the week ending June 13, which is 48 more cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in Knowsley is 97.7 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure rose by 48%.
Sefton
Sefton had a total of 315 cases in the week ending June 13, which is a 127 more cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate is 114.2 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases increased by 68% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 1,737 positive tests over in the week ending June 13, which is 677 more cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change rose by 64%. The latest infection rate is 102.01 cases per 100,000 people.
Warrington
There were 282 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending June 13, which is 122 more cases than the previous week. The week-on-week percentage figure increased by 76%. There was an infection rate of 134.67 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 421 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending June 13, which is 113 more cases than the previous week. The week-on-week percentage figure went up by 37%. There was an infection rate of 122.45 per 100,000 people.
West Lancs
There were 136 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending June 13, which is 55 more cases than the previous week. The latest infection rate in West Lancs is 118.78 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage went up by 68% in cases.
England
In the week ending June 13, England recorded 69,842 coronavirus cases, which is 23,503 more cases than in the previous seven days. The week-on-week percentage increased by 51% in England. There was an infection rate of 123.50 per 100,000 people.
