All areas of the Liverpool City Region recorded drops in Covid infections, with week-on-week percentage falls ranging from 9% to 23%.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, the Liverpool City Region had 12,501 infections in the seven days ending January 28 - that's 2,177 fewer infections than the previous week.

So, this meant the Liverpool City Region's week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 15%.
The Liverpool City Region had falls in infections in all of the six areas of it for the 22nd day running.
Those falls were: 17% in Knowsley; 13% in Liverpool; 21% in Halton; 23% in St Helens; 15% in Sefton; and 9% in Wirral.
Warrington, West Lancashire, and Cheshire West and Chester all had decreases in positive tests.
There was a 3% fall in infections in England in the week ending January 28.
Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 3,620 cases in the week ending January 28, which is 547 fewer cases than the previous week.
This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 13%.
The latest infection rate was 723.3 cases per 100,000 people.
Wirral
Wirral's positive tests came to 3,052 cases in the week ending January 28, which is 314 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 9%.
The latest infection rate was 941.0 cases per 100,000 people.
Halton
There were 1,191 positive tests over the last week - that's 314 fewer cases than in the previous week.
This means the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 21% in Halton in the week ending January 28.
The latest infection rate is 917.9 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There was a total of 1,341 cases in the week ending January 28, which is 393 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate in St Helens is 740.5 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 23%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 1,186 cases in the week ending January 28, which is 244 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate in Knowsley is 778.0 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 17%.
Sefton
Sefton had a total of 2,111 cases in the week ending January 28, which is a 365 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 765.1 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases dropped by 15% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 12,501.0 positive tests over in the week ending January 28, which is 2,177 fewer cases than in the previous week.
This means the week-on-week percentage change fell by 15%. The latest infection rate is 734.17 cases per 100,000 people.
Warrington
There were 1,667 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending January 28, which is 536 fewer cases than the previous week.
The week-on-week percentage figure dropped by 24%. There was an infection rate of 796.09 per 100,000 people.
West Lancs
West Lancashire recorded 1,030 coronavirus cases in the week ending January 28, which is 121 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
This meant there was a week-on-week percentage figure dropped by 11%. The infection rate was 899.60 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 3,782 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending January 28, which is 265 fewer cases than the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 1,099.98 cases per 100,000 people, and there was a week-on-week percentage drop of 7% in cases.
England
In the week ending January 28, England recorded 612,351 coronavirus cases, which is 21,187 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
There was a week-on-week percentage fall of 3% in cases in England, and there was an infection rate of 1,082.85 per 100,000 people.
