Covid infections fall by two fifths in the Liverpool City Region

The Liverpool City Region has seen weekly positive Covid tests fall by at least 40%.

According to the latest data from Public Health England, there were 6,136 cases in the week ending April 9, which is 4,201 fewer cases than in the previous seven days. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 41% in the Liverpool City Region.

This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 41% in the Liverpool City Region. There were drops in all of the six areas of the LCR. The drops were: 41% in Knowsley; 44% in Liverpool; 46% in Halton; 38% in St Helens; 34% in Sefton; and 40% in Wirral.
