A further 7,449 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Scotland – with the nation's virus death toll also on the rise.
Figures have been published by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland (PHS) this afternoon as part of the national Covid-19 daily briefing.
Nationally, there are 912 patients with the disease being treated in hospital which is up one from yesterday's reported figure. There are currently 13 people being treated in ICUs.
The number of newly-reported positive coronavirus cases recorded by NHS Ayrshire & Arran has increased by 451. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 90,786 positive tests in the region and 1,319,373 million across Scotland.
Of the new cases reported, 170 were in East Ayrshire, 156 attributed to North Ayrshire and 131 in South Ayrshire.
As a result of the historical update in terms of Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, the Shetland Islands has the highest rate in the country – at 2,291.2 as of Tuesday, February 15.
The Orkney Islands has the second-highest infection rate at 1,285.7 while Dundee City is third with 1,027.4.
In terms of Ayrshire's thee local authorities, East Ayrshire has the highest rate of 601.2; South Ayrshire's rate stands at 584.1 while North Ayrshire's is 579.5.
A total of 19 of Scotland's 32 council regions have an infection rate below the national average of 792.5.

Another 16 deaths mean 10,544 people have passed away since March 2020.
However, data from the National Records of Scotland (NRS) shows 13,157 deaths had been registered up to Sunday, February 13 where the disease was mentioned on the death certificate.
Across the UK, the figure is 159,839 as of last night and 181,424 with Covid mentioned on the death certificate.
There are 71 patients with the disease being treated in Ayrshire hospitals, down one on yesterday, and fewer than five people in ICUs.
Nationally, a total of 4,429,337 people have received one dose of a Covid vaccine; 4,145,785 are double jabbed and 3,366,018 people have received a third dose/booster.
