Coronavirus infection rates are continuing to plummet across Greater Manchester, as one borough has seen a weekly drop of almost 60 per cent.
Latest data has revealed that all ten boroughs have seen a decrease in Coronavirus infection rates.
However the infection rate across the region is still higher than the national average.
Tameside now has the highest coronavirus infection rate in Greater Manchester, replacing Bolton, with a rate of 1127.6 per 100,000 people as of January 14.
The lowest infection rate is in Stockport, where the rate is 905.2 cases per 100,000 people.

And there was a fall of 59 per cent in cases in Wigan over the week ending January 14, the most drastic drop of the borough.
In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 1009.5 cases per 100,000 population.
The infection rate in the region is higher than the national average, which is 984.7 cases per 100,000 people.
A total of 28,627 people tested positive for coronavirus across Greater Manchester in the week which ended on January 14.
The Greater Manchester weekly total has decreased by 32338 cases compared to the previous week, which means the infection rate was down 53 per cent in the last week.
However, it comes following concerns that not all people testing positive on rapid LFT tests at home will be registering their positive result with the NHS.
Prior to January 11, people who tested positive using a lateral flow test were asked to take a PCR test to confirm the result, but the need for the follow up PCR has since been scrapped for those without symptoms.
Hospital admissions
In the week ending on January 09, a total of 1133 patients were admitted to Greater Manchester NHS hospitals with Covid-19. That is two more than the week before.
On Tuesday January 11, there were 51 Mechanical Ventilation (MV) beds occupied by Covid patients in Greater Manchester NHS hospitals. That is six more than a week earlier.
Deaths
In the week ending January 14, a total of 127 people died within 28 days of a positive Covid test across Greater Manchester, which is 32 more than the week before.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 763,371 confirmed coronavirus cases in Greater Manchester. There has been a total of 8,273 deaths.
Cases reported in each of the ten boroughs
Salford
Salford recorded 2724 coronavirus cases, which is 3491 fewer than in the previous seven days.
The latest infection rate in Salford is 1036.9 cases per 100,000 people and that is down 56 per cent week-on-week.
Rochdale
There were 2445 positive tests over the last week in Rochdale, which is 2616 fewer than in the previous week.
The week-on-week trend in Rochdale is down by 52 per cent and the latest infection rate is 1093.2 cases per 100,000 people.
Bolton
In Bolton, the latest infection rate is 1082.7 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases has gone down by 51 per cent.
A total of 3121 people tested positive for Covid in Bolton over the seven days ending on January 14, which is 3206 fewer than the week before.
Bury
Bury saw a total of 1884 cases in the week ending January 14, which is 2029 fewer than the previous week. That is a fall of 52 per cent.
In Bury, the most recent coronavirus infection rate is now 987.9 cases per 100,000 people.
Oldham
In Oldham, the number of cases is down by 55 per cent compared to the previous week - leaving the infection rate at 944.8 cases per 100,000 population.
There were 2245 positive Covid-19 tests in Oldham in the week ending January 14, which was 2743 fewer than the previous 7 days.
Wigan
There was a fall of 59 per cent in cases in Wigan over the week ending January 14, and the infection rate is now 987.3 cases per 100,000 population.
Wigan recorded 3265 positive Covid-19 tests over the seven-day period, and that is 4605 fewer than the previous week.
Manchester
The trend is down in Manchester, where there were 5491 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending January 14, which is 5201 fewer than the previous 7 days. That is down by 49 per cent compared to the previous week.
The latest infection rate in Manchester is 988.0 cases per 100,000 people, which is higher than the national average.
Tameside
In Tameside, there were 2561 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending January 14, which is 2544 fewer than the previous 7 days.
Tameside has the highest infection rate in the region. The infection rate in Tameside is down slightly compared with the previous day and the week-on-week trend is down by 50 per cent.
Trafford
Trafford is an area where the trend is down. The latest infection rate here is 937.8 cases per 100,000 people.
There were 2228 cases recorded in Trafford, which is 2475 fewer than the previous week - a fall of 53 per cent.
Stockport
Stockport, which has the lowest infection rate in the region, recorded 2663 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending January 14, which is 3428 fewer than the previous 7 days.
The coronavirus infection rate in Stockport is now 905.2 cases per 100,000 people and is down by 56 per cent week-on-week.
