BHOPAL: Covid cases in Madhya Pradesh fell for the third consecutive day on Tuesday, bringing a glimmer of hope after a sharp spike in infections.
On Tuesday, 9,451 new Covid cases were reported — a nearly 11% drop over Monday’s count of 10,585. On January 22, 11,253 new infections had been detected, which dropped by 6% the next day.
On Tuesday, testing was also low, with 72,382 samples being tested while in the previous two days, it was 80,000-plus. Prior to this, it was only on December 27, 2021, that the daily count had dropped in a day — from 41 to 30. After that, Covid numbers multiplied exponentially until the drop in the last three days.
