Covid: At 0.7%, test positivity rate lowest this year in Gurugram

GURUGRAM: The city on Monday reported 29 new Covid-19 cases, taking the overall tally to 2,60,782, according to the health department.

No new fatalities were reported due to the infection,an official said.

With Monday’s figures, the daily positivity rate in the city stands at 0.7%, the lowest so far this year, according to the health department official.

At present, the city has 214 Covid-19 patients, two of whom are hospitalised, while the remaining are in home isolation. A total of 3,951 Covid tests were conducted in the city on Monday. Gurgaon recorded the highest active cases on January 21 — 25,306. Further, between January 9 and 28, the positivity rate was over 20%.

As many as 73 people have succumbed to the infection this year while the total toll since the outbreak of the pandemic is 1,007. Of them, at least 682 patients were known to have comorbidities.
