- QLD - 10 deaths, 246 in hospital
- NSW - Six deaths, 1,032 in hospital
- ACT - One death, 40 in hospital
- VIC - Four deaths, 197 in hospital
- TAS - No deaths, 14 in hospital
- NT - No deaths, 31 in hospital
- SA - Three deaths, 129 in hospital
- WA - No deaths, 112 in hospital
New South Wales
Another six people have died with COVID-19 in the state.
There are 1,032 cases in hospital, 38 of those are in ICU. Yesterday, there were 1,005 people in hospital and 47 in ICU.
Today, the state recorded another 10,689 new cases.
Victoria
Four more people have died with COVID-19 in Victoria, with 197 people in hospital and 24 of those in ICU.
The state reported another 7,460 cases and there are 40,403 active cases across Victoria.
ACT
A woman in her 90s has died with COVID-19 as the ACT records 786 new cases.
ACT health authorities confirmed the woman’s death this morning but did not reveal her vaccination status or specify if she had underlying health conditions.
There are now 40 people in hospital with the virus in Canberra, including four patients in intensive care.
Among Canberra children aged five to 11, 79.3 per cent have received a vaccine dose and 70.7 per cent of Canberrans aged 16 and older have received their booster.
Tasmania
Tasmania has recorded 1,376 new COVID-19 cases, up from 923 yesterday.
There are three people in ICU and 14 in hospital with the virus. Seven are being treated specifically for COVID-19 symptoms.
There were no new deaths.
Queensland
The state recorded 10 more COVID deaths in the past 24 hours.
There are 246 people in hospital with the virus and 19 of those are in ICU.
There were 5,589 new cases recorded, with 28,028 active cases statewide.
South Australia
Two men and a woman with COVID-19 have died in South Australia, with 2,380 new cases reported today.
SA Health says those who died were a woman in her 90s, a man in his 70s and a man in his 80s.
There are 129 people in the state being treated for COVID-19 in hospital, including 10 people in intensive care and one on a ventilator.
Northern Territory
Another 295 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the NT, most of them via rapid antigen tests.
Two people are being treated for the virus in intensive care, and 31 people are hospitalised with COVID in total.
There are more than 1,600 known active cases throughout the Territory.
Western Australia
WA has recorded 5,377 new cases of COVID-19.
It takes the state's number of active cases to 27,465.
Almost 800 schools are currently dealing with COVID cases, and there are 112 people in hospital with the virus — five are in intensive care.
