New South Wales
There have been five more COVID deaths recorded in the state and 9,017 new cases.
There are 1,066 people in hospital with the virus, 43 of those are in ICU.
Victoria
Two more people with COVID-19 have died in the state.
There are 5,645 new cases and 39,094 active cases across Victoria.
There are 227 people in hospital with the virus.
Tasmania
Tasmania has recorded 784 new COVID-19 cases, up from 757 in the previous reporting period.
There are still five people in ICU and 21 people in hospital with the virus. Nine patients are being treated specifically for COVID symptoms.
There are no new deaths.
Queensland
Queensland recorded one COVID death in the past 24 hours.
There are 267 people in hospital with the virus, 20 of them in ICU.
The state recorded 3,677 new cases in the reporting period.
ACT
The ACT recorded 553 new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday.
There are 39 people in hospital with the virus in Canberra, including two patients in intensive care and one requiring ventilation.
Almost four in five (78.8 per cent) of Canberra children aged five to 11 have received a vaccine dose and 69.2 per cent of Canberrans aged 16 and older have received their booster.
From today, children aged five to 11 are eligible for their second vaccine dose in the ACT.
South Australia
Health authorities in South Australia have reported another 23 deaths of people with COVID-19.
The deaths occurred throughout the first two months of the year, but SA Health says they have only now been included in the official statistics after a data release from Births, Deaths and Marriages.
South Australia recorded another 1,577 new cases of COVID, a slight decrease from yesterday's figure.
One hundred and six people are in hospital with COVID-19, with 15 people in intensive care.
Northern Territory
The Northern Territory has recorded one death from COVID-19 and 235 new cases.
There are currently 47 patients in hospital, with 14 requiring oxygen and three in intensive care.
From today, Northern Territory children aged five to 11 years old are now eligible to receive their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
More than 13,500 paediatric vaccinations have been administered across the NT so far, with over 55 per cent of children having received their first dose.
Western Australia
Western Australia has recorded one COVID-related death and 2,365 local cases today.
WA Health says the death was a woman in her 40s who had other underlying health conditions.
There are 36 people in hospital but none are in intensive care.
WA now has 13,486 active cases of COVID-19.
