Covid-19 Ireland: HSE confirms Citywest test centre relocating to Tallaght

The HSE has announced that its Covid-19 testing centre at Citywest is set to move to a location in Tallaght from tomorrow.

The centre will now move to Alexander House, Belgard Square North

The Citywest facility opened on 3 September 2020 and has completed 361,203 swabs to date.

A spokesman for the HSE said: "This service has been provided thanks to the continued commitment of the team including HSE staff, agency staff, volunteers, Defence Forces, the National Ambulance Service and all the contractors working with the HSE.

"We are grateful to the management and staff of Citywest Hotel and Convention Centre for accommodating the test centre for the past 16 months, and who continue to work with the Covid Vaccination service, which will remain in Citywest."

The new centre in Tallaght will accommodate up to 20 testing bays and there will be parking available in the underground car park, which will be accessed from Belgard Road North and is available by appointment only.
