BHOPAL: For the second consecutive day and third time in past four days, less than 1,000 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the state as 847 people tested positive on Monday.
On Sunday, 950 had tested positive, while on Saturday 1,013 people had tested positive and on Friday 888 people had tested positive. As on February 21, there were a total of 6,897 active cases in the state.
Against 847 people testing positive, 1,475 people recovered on Monday taking the count of those who have recovered so far from covid-19 to 10,17,673.
Two deaths were reported on Monday and both were reported from Ashok Nagar district.
New infections were reported from 48 of the 52 districts. Top five districts where maximum cases were reported include Bhopal (151 new cases), Indore (58), Jabalpur (37), Shivpuri (35) and Narsinghpur (34).
Positivity rate of 1.2% was reported in the state. Positivity rate is the number of people testing positive out of every 100 samples tested.
A total of 68756 samples were tested in the state on Monday.
