Covid-19: 10 days after first case of XE, no sign of outbreak in Karnataka

BENGALURU: Ten days after the first case of XE variant of Covid-19 was traced in Mumbai, followed by another case in Gujarat, experts said Karnataka, or the country as a whole for that matter, has not seen an outbreak.

On April 6, the first case of XE, a recombinant sub-variant of Omicron, was found in Mumbai. This was followed by another case in Gujarat on April 10, in a 67-year-old man.
