Courteney Cox has admitted she looked “really strange” after getting cosmetic injections in her face.
The 57-year-old Friends star says the reason she had the treatments was to stay as youthful as possible, as she comes from a very “looks orientated” family.
Speaking to The Sunday Times, the actress - who has a 17-year-old daughter Coco - shared her regret at “doing stuff to my face”.
She said: “There was a time when you go, ‘Oh, I’m changing. I’m looking older. And I tried to chase that youthfulness for years.
“I didn’t realise that, oh s***, I’m actually looking really strange with injections and doing stiff to my face that I would never do now.”

Courteney says she sometimes wonders whether to post a selfie from the “injections phase” next to a current one of what she looks like now.
It’s only in hindsight she realised she was going a bit too far with the cosmetic procedures.
“Because people would talk about me, I think. There was a period where I went, ‘I’ve got to stop. That’s just crazy,” she added.
During the interview, Courteney spoke about her upcoming 60th birthday and says she “just can’t believe” she has almost reached the milestone.
While it is still a few years away and there is “nothing wrong with being 60”, Courteney says she has always felt younger than her age.
She dates younger men – she is currently in a relationship with Snow Patrol guitarist Johnny McDaid - and reveals she has lots of friends in their thirties.
One such friend is British pop star Ed Sheeran, who stays at Courteney’s house whenever he is in Malibu.
The actress revealed he has a regular prank he plays on her – sending gimp masks to her house which he buys off Amazon.
She says she “must have five” but forgets there are there, which isn’t great when she has company.
While recently trying to sell a piano from her home, Courteney said an elderly couple in their eighties had come round to see it.
But they didn’t end up buying it after spotting a gimp mask with a long beak lying on the side which left her “so embarrassed”.
While Friends still continues to be a hit 20 years on from its heyday, Courteney is back on the big screen in a Scream remake alongside ex-husband David Arquette, which is in cinemas now.
She is also returning to TV in new comedy horror series, Shining Vale, written by Friends Writer Jeff Astrof and Catastrophe creator Sharon Horgan.
Courteney stars as Pat, an erotic novelist battling depression, who leaves New York for a fresh start in Connecticut with her husband and two children. It is available to stream on Starzplay from March 6.
