Couple who bagged £3m luxury mansion in prize draw put it on market for £4m weeks later

A lucky couple who won a luxurious £3 million mansion in Cornwall with a £25 lottery ticket in the Omaze Million Pound House Draw are looking to sell it for £4m less than two months later. The magnificent property, which covers 5.3 acres of land, features panoramic views of the Camel Estuary river valley and also comes with celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay, as a next door neighbour.

Originally valued at £3m, the couple are hoping to make a £1m profit on their new mansion that they won on August 12 and had listed on RightMove again by October 8. Uttam Parmar, 58, and his wife Raki, from Leicester had already previously entered the competition eight times but his dreams came true on his ninth try when along he walked away with the once in a lifetime prize, the Mirror reports.

The grand prize also came with a generous £50,000 and their lavish abode is mortgage free, with stamp duty and legal fees all covered. The eco-mansion comes completely insulated with recycled newspapers and a ‘green roof’ covered in grass, moss and flowers.
