A couple who quit their jobs to live on the road have turned an old campervan into a dream home.
Chris and Sam Hoar, from Plymouth, bought the minivan for just £3,400 last year, before spending more than £10,000 transforming it.
It is now worth almost seven times the original price they paid.
The pair decided to buy the vehicle after the pandemic gave them “a burning desire to travel the world”.
In the past 11 weeks they have visited seven countries.
They told The Sun: “It became even more clear to us that life is too short and you really should live life while you can.”
The couple are now heading back to the UK after a mega-trip through France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Germany, Austria, Slovenia and Italy.
They plan to continue their travels in the winter after struggling to deal with the searing heat inside the van in recent weeks.
Sharing their plans for the future, Chris and Sam said they intend to spend at least the next few years travelling in the van.
The pair, both 29, spent 10 months transforming the vehicle before embarking on their trip through Europe.
Working in their weekends, they stripped the interior of the vehicle and replaced it with custom furnishings.
Mechanical engineer Chris said: “Sam was already thinking about colours, cushions and finishing touches before we had finished taking the old layout of the bus out.
“She was very impatient and couldn't wait to turn it into a home.”
They managed to save money by working on the van in the workshop of Chris' dad which was equipped with all the tools they needed.
Their motorhome now includes oak worktops, plenty of storage space, a bookshelf, shower, toilet, lounge area, bed and roof terrace.
They even have solar panels on the roof and space for 100 litres of fresh water, meaning they can live off-grid for four or five days.

However, the couple soon realised they had overlooked one aspect of the build.
They decided to stick with a clear shower door, which embarrassingly meant passers-by could spot them showering when walking past the kitchen window.
Luckily the couple can draw the blinds, although they sometimes forget.
Beauty and massage therapist Sam said her parents have now also bought a motorhome so the two couples can enjoy joint trips.
The pair are now sharing their story on the Channel 5 show Million Pound Motorhomes.
Million Pound Motorhomes S2 airs at 8pm on Sunday.
