A couple enjoying a birthday getaway were left stranded in their Airbnb after their car became submerged in floodwater.
Chloe and Jason Knaepel had been on a trip for a birthday treat but it soon turned into a soggy nightmare for them. They had unknowingly parked their car in a flood hotspot and the next morning they returned to find it partially submerged.
The couple had climbed Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), toured Conwy Castle and were set for one final night in Llanrwst before returning home to Cambridgeshire. But instead of heading home, the couple found themselves stranded in the Conwy Valley during a 32nd birthday celebration for Chloe, a nurse, reported North Wales Live.
