Couple left 'grossed out' after finding fried plastic glove inside their food order

A couple was left disgusted while eating out when they found a plastic glove fried into their mac and cheese ball.

Brittany, 25, and her boyfriend Tyler faced the disturbing image during a meal at a Cheesecake Factory in Jersey City, New Jersey, US.

Tyler had ordered the fried mac and cheese balls and after taking a bite from his meal, he immediately knew something was wrong.

He spat out the food and the fried plastic glove and informed the server, who was shocked and quickly grabbed their manager.

The manager came over and seemed suspicious and doubtful of their story with the "what would you like me to do?" type of vibe.

They offered to get a new order, but the couple refused.

Brittany told NeedToKnow.Online: "As soon as he bit and started chewing on it all the colour drained from his face and he immediately spits it out.

"Essentially, we went to a Cheesecake Factory in New Jersey, and Tyler popped an entire fried mac and cheese ball into his mouth like a barbarian.

"The woman next to us was even like 'I saw that, I will vouch for you'. We told our server, who was shocked. They immediately grabbed their manager.

"The manager then came over and was just acting suspiciously, like they were almost doubting our story with the 'what would you like me to do?' type of vibe.

"It was strange, he offered to get us a new order but we didn't want one."

Brittany claims that she contacted the restaurant by email and explained what had happened, but was left shocked by their response.

She said they were offered a $25 (£20) gift card, which she found "laughable" given the potentially dangerous situation.

Brittany decided to share her experience on TikTok, and the clip quickly gained more than 362,000 views and 47,000 likes, with many users being left shocked.

Some users suggested they would have walked out or sued, while others expressed disgust and horror.

Despite the incident, the couple has eaten at The Cheesecake Factory since, but not as frequently as they used to.

They said they have since moved far from that location, but they would never go back to the one in Jersey City.

Brittany said customer service is "super crucial" for big brands like that, and it's a mystery to her why they were so "nonchalant and weird" about it.

She added that they had to pay their full bill too.

The Mirror has approached The Cheesecake Factory for comment.
