Reflecting on their previous experience with a partial solar eclipse, the couple fondly recalled a similar event they witnessed on December 25, 2000, in the state of Sonora, Mexico. The memory of seeing the Sun partially obscured by the Moon brought back feelings of wonder and excitement.
