Annual chiller Psycho Path has won the title of Best UK Scream Park Event at an awards ceremony which now seals its terrifying reputation.
The event, which plays out each year at a vast site in County Durham, won the national honour, singling it out as officially the best in the country, at 'Scare Awards' hosted this week at Thorpe Park in Surrey. Its success at the ScareTOUR Awards - which are part of ScareCON, the country's biggest convention and trade show for the horror industry, and collate independent reviews of scare attractions across the UK and Europe - follows on from a Rising Star award it won there last year.
It's another boost for Psycho Path which tends to add to its spooky attractions each year at its 'apocalyptic wasteland' site at Lintz Hall Farm in Burnopfield. They include the likes of iScream house of horrors and a 2.5-acre maze Corn-ered alongside chillers Isolation and Cutthroat Island.

And it has revealed that new additions this year will be Dolls House and The Hunt. Christiano Crawford, one of the directors and creators of Psycho Path, was delighted at the latest national recognition and said: “We were up against the biggest scream parks from all over the United Kingdom, so it’s amazing that Psycho Path has reigned supreme.
"We know that ScareCON visit more than 300 Halloween events before deciding on the winner so it is a huge honour to take the top award." He added: “Since we first launched the event in 2018 it has grown into something of a monster and, after the pitfalls of Covid, we vowed to come back bigger and better and with a whole host of new attractions.
"In 2022 we added more scares and increased the size of the site and we’re looking forward to unveiling even more new thrills this year. To get the official nod that we are the best in the UK is a dream come true.”
This year’s Psycho Path will open on September 29 and will run every Friday and Saturday until October 29, with two additional Halloween events taking place on October 30 and 31. Tickets are already on sale and can be booked here.
