Matt Baker has received the sincere support of fans, having spoken out at out his family's devastating loss, with the death of their oldest dog.
County Durham born star Matt has been a TV regular for decades now, getting his first taste of fame as a member of the Blue Peter presenting team, before going onto be a regular host on The One Show and reaching the final of Strictly Come Dancing.
BBC viewers and his One Show partner in crime Alex Jones were left gutted when Matt walked away from the long-running show a few years ago, before him and his family earned a whole new fanbase, thanks to their hit More4 programme Our Farm in the Dales, which has spawned a number of series and Christmas specials to date.

Matt has still been very much a part of the BBCfamily, thanks to his long-serving role as Countryfile presenter and, most recently he has fronted an American based travel show - Travels in the Country; USA - for More4.
As fans lap up Matt's new TV venture, the former gymnast had some sad news to break on social media, as he revealed that his family's beloved dog Isla.
Taking to his family's Farm on The Hill account, Matt wrote: "So sad, we’ve said Goodbye to Isla, our oldest & smallest cairn at 13yrs. She was sweet natured, kind, tough, fast as lightning, and a patient gentle Mum. She was the one with the voice to let us know when they all wanted to be in or be out.. We’ll miss her."
After fans rushed to offer their condolences, Matt went into the comments thread himself, to write: "The reason we love dogs so much is the only time they break our hearts is when they leave us."
