Country Music Hall of Famer John Anderson has died at the age of 71, his family announced on Instagram on Wednesday, 21 October. The singer's cause of death has not been disclosed, but tributes have poured in from fellow country artists including Reba McEntire, Luke Combs and Parker McCollum.
The news came after a career in which Anderson became one of country music's most recognisable voices, best known for hits such as 'Swingin'', 'Seminole Wind' and 'Straight Tequila Night'. His family said he died surrounded by the love of those closest to him, though their statement did not say where he died or give a cause.
