A teenager from Liverpool was charged with terrorism offences after a police raid on his home.
Officers from Merseyside Police and Counter Terrorism Policing North West raided a property in Stockbridge Street, Anfield, on December 2, 2020 and arrested a youth. The suspect has today been named as 19-year-old Nicolas Street.
Counter Terror police said Street has been charged with three counts of possession of a document likely to be useful to a terrorist, two counts of encouraging terrorism and possession of a prohibited image. He appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court yesterday (May 31) and was bailed to next appear at the Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey) on June 10.

No details have been released as to the nature of the documents or what form of terrorism the teenager is alleged to have encouraged.
