Moving to a new place is stressful enough without dealing with careless movers. A woman from Texas recently learned this the hard way when she hired All My Sons Moving to help with her relocation. TikTok user Brittany, known as @brittanyybowen, posted a video showing the complete mess the movers left behind in her new apartment. The video has been watched more than 36,600 times.
According to Bro Bible, Brittany paid All My Sons Moving $140 per hour for their services. To keep costs down, she moved 15 boxes by herself the day before the big move. She picked this company because her furniture came from Nebraska Furniture Mart and she wanted professionals to take care of it. She thought paying good money would mean good service, but that’s not what happened.
The TikTok video shows Brittany walking around her apartment and pointing out the disaster. “All my son’s moving company, count your days ’cause ain’t no way I paid you $1,100, and you left my apartment like this,” she told her followers. Her couch was standing on its side instead of sitting flat on the floor. Boxes were crushed with chairs piled on top. Her nice comforter was just lying on the floor. She had to sit on a suitcase to record the video because there was no other place to sit.
The movers she got weren’t what she expected
Brittany was not happy with the workers who showed up at her door. She said the company sent her young guys who looked like college students, around 21 years old. She was expecting grown men with experience, but instead got people who didn’t seem to know what they were doing.
They took their time loading the truck, talked on their phones, and listened to music while working. It took them two whole hours just to load everything up.
When it was time to drive to the new apartment, Brittany got there 35 minutes before the movers arrived. Once they finally showed up, they moved even more slowly than before because they were already tired. She watched the clock knowing every minute was costing her $140 per hour.
While she was busy unpacking her bathroom and closet, she couldn’t keep an eye on what the movers were doing. That’s when things really went downhill.
The movers charged her a total of $1,066.16 after finishing the job. When she inspected her apartment, she found items thrown around carelessly. Her matching lamps were broken and discarded in the dumpster without her consent.
She called the company the next day to complain and file a claim. They asked if the service met her expectations. She thinks the damages will cost at least $700 to fix or replace. Her parents even had to fly in to help her clean up and put the apartment back together. The incident highlights how expensive furniture requires careful handling, especially during moves.
Other people who used All My Sons Moving have left reviews online that tell different stories. The company has decent ratings on some websites like BirdEye at 4.4 stars and Trustpilot at 3.7 stars. But the Dallas branch where Brittany hired them only has 1.4 out of 5 stars on Yelp. Lots of customers wrote about similar problems with broken items, workers who moved too slowly, and bills that were way too high. Some reviewers shared similar stories of damaged furniture and belongings during their moves..
