Liverpool Council has removed a tent that was being lived in by a man and boarded the area where he had put it up.
Last month, the ECHO reported that a man - who asked only to be known as 'Spiderman' - had been living on a tent on land near The Strand in Liverpool city centre.
Having told him to leave the area, Liverpool City Council obtained a court order for the removal and disposal of the tent and served this on the man last week. The council insisted that the man had existing accommodation in a neighbouring borough that he could return to.

Spiderman told the ECHO that he was afraid to go back to his other accommodation for safety reasons and last week he vowed to take on the council and fight for his right to stay. It is understood he has now been offered alternative accommodation.
He said: "I think they are doing this because of Eurovision and all the tourists coming to Liverpool. But I have had enough and I am fighting back. Spiderman is going to crawl up the Cunard Building and tell them what time it is."
But new images show that the tent has been removed from the area where Spiderman had been living. The area of land has now been boarded up, with large grey hoardings making it impossible to access the area where the tent had been based.
As our photographer arrived to take pictures of the scene, Spiderman arrived and was pictured next to the area where he had been living. It is understood he is still sleeping rough in Liverpool and does not want to return to the neighbouring borough where his accommodation is.
The ECHO understands the council boarded the area up with the help of the Liverpool BID company. It is not clear what is planned for the land.
