General Motors (GM) has issued an urgent recall for over 62,000 Chevrolet Silverado trucks in the US due to a brake defect that could spark fires, even when the vehicle is parked.

This alarming issue, reported on 26 June 2025, affects certain 2019–2024 models, specifically the Medium Duty 4500HD, 5500HD, and 6500HD variants.
