The Atlanta Falcons have not faced many elite quarterbacks this season, but that could change on Sunday if New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers is somehow able to play.
The Jets designated Rodgers to return on Wednesday, opening his 21-day practice window. The four-time MVP was officially limited on the team’s first injury report of Week 13, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Rodgers suffered an Achilles tear just 79 days ago, and most assumed the 39-year-old would be out for the rest of the season at the very least. While his return to practice in no way guarantees that he’ll play in Week 13, it does leave open the door for a potential return on Sunday.
The Jets are 4-7 this season, which led many to believe the veteran QB would take a more cautious approach to his rehab, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.
We’ll have to keep tabs on Rodgers’ status in practice over the rest of the week to see if he gets activated in time for Sunday’s game. Make sure to check out the Falcons’ updated depth chart and injury report heading into their Week 13 matchup in New York.
