The two men accused of the deadly antisemitic Bondi beach attack may have been inspired by Islamic State ideology, according to police. In the UK, the Manchester terror plotters answered an Islamic State “call to arms” after the 7 October attacks. The alleged Sydney attackers,Naveed and Sajid Akram, also visited a Philippine island where an IS affiliate is believed to have operated, so what do we know about the group and its aims?
