Sydney Sweeney is facing new rumours that she could play James Bond after a top Hollywood director tipped her as the perfect British secret service agent.
The Euphoria star, 28, recently put forward her interest in being the next 007, who was last played by Daniel Craig in 2021’s No Time To Die.
Now, director Paul Feig - who worked with Sweeney on the recent thriller The Housemaid - has said she’d be “great” as an MI6 operative.
Asked about whether Sweeney will choose a glamorous role for her next film, Feig instead insisted: “I’d rather Sydney be the next Bond.”
He told The Sun: “There have been some cool Bond girls, but come on, let her be the super-spy, she’s great.
“She’s one of the hardest-working people I know, so professional, so smart, so savvy. I think she’d be a good spy.”

In October, the US star - who was last week blasted by Kim Novak as “too sexy” to play her in an upcoming biopic - threw her hat in the ring to play Bond.
“I’ve always been a huge fan and I’m excited and curious to see what they do with it,” she said after the franchise was bought by Amazon MGM.
When asked if she wanted to play a Bond girl, Sweeney said: “Depends on the script.
“I think I’d have more fun as James Bond.”
The White Lotus star, who recently appeared in a controversial jeans campaign, is just one of several famous women supposedly tipped for the 007 role.

Hamnet actor Jessie Buckley was put forward as the next Bond with rumours that sent the internet into meltdown - although these turned out to be an April Fool’s prank.
A slew of other names have been tipped to play the spy, including Jacob Elordi, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Damson Idris and Callum Turner.
The next Bond film will be directed by Canadian filmmaker and four-time Academy Award nominee Denis Villeneuve, who is known for Dune, Prisoners, Blade Runner 2049 and Arrival.
The script will be written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.
This comes after a major overhaul of the iconic British spy franchise which saw Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson hand over creative control to Amazon as part of a lucrative deal.
Recently, Peaky Blinders star Barry Keoghan said he does not think he fits the criteria to play Bond.
In an interview with Radio Times, he said: “(James Bond is) an iconic role and a lot of weight and pressure comes with that.
“It’s nice to see your name go up there, but I don’t think I fit the criteria for James Bond. I’d rather come in and do the villain. The man teasing Bond, that’s more me.”
