Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) has never been bigger. The iPhone maker finally closed with a $5 trillion market cap this week, the second company to ever close above that threshold, a milestone that says a ton about how much faith the market already has in its next act.
While the company’s device line will, of course, continue playing a large role, this next act is increasingly expected to be about AI. What makes Apple stand out from the crowd in this regard is that its pitch isn’t to sell AI by the shovel-full like the chipmakers and cloud giants, but to weave it quietly through the devices, software, and services more than a billion people already use.
