Officials in Washington state have reported a recent incident involving a cougar that attacked a group of people. The cougar first stalked and attacked a group of five individuals inside a building, before moving on to target a group of five mountain bikers on a trail over the weekend. One of the cyclists was injured in the attack.

The victims were able to pin down the cougar and call for emergency services. A wildlife official arrived at the scene and made the decision to euthanize the aggressive animal. A second cougar was also spotted in the area but managed to escape.

This alarming incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers posed by wildlife encounters, particularly in regions where cougars are known to inhabit. Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions when venturing into areas where such encounters are possible.
