Cotton Strength Continuing on Tuesday AM

Cotton Oil Ice United States US Dollar

Cotton price action is 14 to 33 points higher so far on Tuesday morning. Futures closed out the Monday session with contracts posting 28 to 69 point gains. Crude oil was down $1.59/barrel at $66.86, with the US dollar index $0.256 higher to $97.785.

Weekly Crop Progress data showed a total of 61% of the US cotton crop squaring, with 23% setting bolls. Condition ratings were up 2% to 54% gd/ex, as the Brugler500 index was up 3 points to 339.
