A farmhouse with 360 degree views in Perthshire has been named as Scotland's Christmas Home of the Year.
Easter Shian is a farmhouse dating from 1705. Homeowners Dave, originally from Moray, and Debbie, who's from Bolton, have a grown-up blended family consisting of five kids and four grandkids who stay with them around the Christmas period.
The couple took a risk buying this ‘lifelong project’ back in 2020 but part of the allure was envisioning a big cosy family Christmas with roaring open fires and total seclusion in the middle of a beautiful glen.
This Christmas will be extra special as it will be the first they’ve hosted for the entire family so Debbie and Dave are going all out to transform the cottage into a cosy cottage wonderland.
When it comes to décor the inspiration comes from the surroundings; foraged materials, imposing fir trees and natural tones with a few less conventional, fun surprises thrown in like a wreath made of kitchen utensils.
Judges Anna Campbell-Jones, Michael Angus and new guest judge Banjo Beale, winner of Interior Design Masters, were blown away by its natural festive decorative look inside.
Speaking after their win, the couple told where they got their décor home inspiration from, Dave said: "Debbie tells me outside in the Glen and the wonders of nature.
Debbie added: "For several years as the children are all adults we haven’t “done” Christmas and we have gone away.
"At Easter Shian, the décor is easy to choose outside inspired for sure. We moved here for the location first, the views and living in nature, so making sure we have that in and out with a twist of our personalities too.
