Costa customers left unhappy after stores get rid of After Eight hot chocolate

A decision to remove the After Eight hot chocolate from the Costa Coffee menu has left customers feeling upset, as the new festive menu rolls in.

One festive shopper posted to a popular Facebook community page about the new Christmas menu hitting stores soon, including a Chocolate Orange latte, the return of gingerbread lattes, and new muffins. They captioned the post: "Terry’s Choc Orange Hot Chocolate and Muffin will be back at Costa Coffee on 3rd November! Also brand new Toblerone Muffin!"

However, not everyone was so pleased with this announcement, as it meant the After Eight treat would no longer be sold at the shop. The post racked up 1,000 comments discussing this sad loss to the festive drinks menu.

One Facebook user wrote: "Very upset the After Eight hot choc has gone."

Another said: "I hope the mint one comes back."

And a third wrote: "The after eight one was miles better (and that’s coming from a Terry’s lover). Looking forward to Toblerone one though!"

More comments read: "Need one of those muffins in my life tbh - sad about the After Eight one tho."

Others said: "Awww these look lush - bring back After Eight though!"

While one commented: "I wanted the After Eight one back - Terry's Choc orange will be good tho."

Another added: "Omg yes I loved this last year yummy."

And finally, one concluded: "Now that looks very inviting."

The new festive menu at Costa Coffee will be available in participating UK stores from November 3 2022 onwards.
