Costa Coffee have issued a recall to people who have purchased one of their popular lunch menu items.
It comes amid a 'possible health risk' as stated on the FSA's website (Food Standards Agency) with the warning having just been issued this week.
It applies to those in Scotland, England and Wales with customers being asked not to eat if if they are allergic.

The warning reads: "Costa Coffee is recalling Costa Coffee British Roast Chicken Salad Sandwich because it contains mustard which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to mustard."
On the risk statement they added: "This product contains mustard making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to mustard."

Consumers are now being advised that if they have bought the above product and have an allergy to mustard, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund, no receipt needed. For further information contact Costa Coffee on 0333 003 5883.
