A popular restaurant in Tallaght has shut its door after seven years in business.
Peachtree East is a well-known spot for dinner and cocktails in Tallaght. The owners confirmed the difficult news on the eatery's Instagram page earlier today.
Energy bills and rising costs contributed heavily towards the decision. Owners admitted they could no longer trade due to an 'unforgiving' economic climate.
Staff wrote on Instagram: "We have made the heartbreaking decision to cease trading. With extortionate energy prices, huge increases in food and supply costs it is simply not viable to operate."

The owners of Peachtree East thanked customers for their unwavering support, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Locals took to social media to share their disappointment over the closure.
One person wrote on Facebook: "It's a loss to the community- we have few genuinely nice places to go with really good food. Wishing the staff all the best too."
