A cost of living event is taking place in an Airdrie community next week, offering support ranging from energy advice to free sanitary products.
The pop-up workshop will be held at Four Isles community centre on Varnsdorf Way in Petersburn on Thursday, November 10, from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
It is being arranged by Link housing group and brings together advisers on money management, health and wellbeing, digital connectivity, and energy advice.
Among the representatives at the event will be the Citizens’ Advice Bureau, offering guidance on keeping energy bills as low as possible.
Enable and Routes to Work will provide support with finding employment, while there will be a presentation on “cooking on a budget” from Lanarkshire community food and health partnership.
Dogs Trust representative Kirsty MacQueen will also be on hand to provide hints and tips for owners on caring for canines during the cost crisis.
Link tenants will also be able to find assistance on connecting digitally, including information about downloading the housing provider’s app and its choice-based “find a home” letting website.
Information stands at the event will also include opportunities to learn about digital deals, managing data and keeping on top of bills.
Both Link residents and the wider community are invited to attend; refreshments will be provided, with sanitary products also be available for those who need them.
