Cost of living crisis making Nottingham residents "more mindful" over Christmas shopping

Nottingham residents have shared that they are being "more mindful" with their Christmas shopping this year amidst the cost of living crisis. To prepare for the festive season many families are paying more attention to what to buy and are looking for ways to keep their bills down.

Despite cost of living payments and additional support being offered this winter, many households are still feeling the pinch of rising prices and soaring energy bills. Mum Karen Stones, 53, of Nottingham, said that the current situation has not affected her "too much" but is causing her to think differently when it comes to shopping.

She said: "I'm a bit more mindful of what I'm buying instead of just going out and buying it. I'm definitely shopping more mindfully, but I think that's the same as everyone else." Similarly, Charlie Gannon, 60, explained that the current situation is concerning and that he is travelling further to get products at lower prices.
