Corrie star teases 'blaze of glory' exit after brutal killing spree set to see more dead

Coronation Street serial killer Stephen Reid could exit in a "blaze of glory" - but not before more people die.

Stephen - played by Todd Boyce - has been causing quite some trouble for the residents of the Cobbles, having killed three of them already. He murdered Leo and his father Teddy, as well as businessman Rufus.

However, it looks like Elaine could be his next victim after he tried to poison her with caffeine tablets the other day, after getting life insurance for his partner. Life insurance never sounds good, especially when your partner is a serial killer!

Now Todd has opened up about his eventual exit from the ITV soap, but teased more death is to come.

He said: "I don’t see anyone else on the horizon in terms of who could be killed, we’re not that far ahead so they could surprise me at any time. I was trying to get the grandstands on telly, I want to be the one who's killed the most.

"But in a sense, I think he’s an accidental killer. When he first killed Leo, it was actually scripted to be more of a scuffle for the phone and then he went over. But I decided, 'Let's let Stephen have a little more to do with that.'"

Todd added he'd love to see Stephen exit in a "blaze of glory" when chatting with the Daily Star.

He shared: "There’s no end in sight but I have a feeling he’ll get caught. I would like personally for him to go out in a blaze of glory, I don’t want him to disappear and go back. I want something finite because I think the audience is losing their minds."

Todd confirmed to The Mirror that there are some other characters at risk.

"He's got a few people who are getting on his nerves or making him nervous because they could jeopardise his future. He's worked so hard and I think he's come this far. He doesn't want to have to have done all this in vain. He wants to have a nice life," he said.
