Corrie star Sally Dynevor looks amazing as she gets warning from royalty over Dancing On Ice

Coronation Street legend Sally Dynevor looked amazing as she picked up her MBE on Wednesday.

The actress collected the award from Windsor Castle, receiving her medal for services to drama from the Princess Royal.

Sally the ambitious Sally Metcalfe - need Webster - in the ITV soap since 1986.

Speaking afterwards, the 58-year-old soap star told PA of Princess Anne: "She said ‘how long have you been in Coronation Street?’

"And I said it was 36 years, she said ‘that’s a very long time’.

"I said ‘it is but I’ve enjoyed every moment of it’."

Sally took to Instagram after her memorable day, showing off her MBE and stunning outfit for the occasion.

The soap star wore a black, oversized power suit with a white shirt, along with a small matching fascinator in her blonde locks which had been curled.

"What an incredible morning," Sally shared on Instagram alongside a series of snaps of her holding up her new award, her receiving it from Princess Anne and another alongside her supportive husband, Tim Dynevor.

"So many people I would like to thank @alissinc @livdaveymakeup. Thank you Liv, for my hair and makeup @coronationstreet @dancingonice @preventbreastcancer and of course @dynevortim," Sally added alongside a string of red hearts.

Former on-screen daughter Helen Flanagan said: "Love you Sal."

"Oh Sal, you’re just awesome. Congratulations bud," on-screen bestie, Abi Franklin actress Sally Carman, wrote.

Corrie's Sean Tully actor Antony Cotton commented: "Best moment of the year so far. We love you so much Sal."

"Omg!!! That is amazing!!! Oh Sal! I’m so proud of you," Lisa George, who plays the soap's Beth Sutherland, shared.

On-screen husband Joe Duttine simply added: " Dame Dynevor."

Sally's daughter Phoebe, who is the star of Netflix hit Bridgerton, also shared a message, writing: "So so proud of you," with multiple love hearts.

Sally, who is currently competing in Dancing On Ice, also revealed the next song she is set to skate to will be pop-soul hit Build Me Up Buttercup by The Foundations.

And even Princess Anne remarked on how her recent decision to brave the ice on ITV’s figure skating show seemed "very dangerous."
