Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher has dropped a hint about her future on the ITV soap amid her character's 'terrifying' accident.
In the New Year, Nina Lucas will be involved in some horror scenes as she falls into an icy river trying to save Roy Cropper, convinced he is at risk. She bangs her head as she falls and panicked, Brain and Asha go into the water and try and save her.
Pulling her lifeless body from the water, it's clear she's banged her head and knocked herself out. They are clearly "terrified" for her and worried if she's going to be ok - will she make it through?
She said: "Everyone is really worried about her as she has already had a brain injury and she is knocked out cold and has to be dragged out of the river. No one knows how serious it is, she has knocked herself out but also she has been in freezing cold water.
"Brian and Asha are doing as much as they can but it is terrifying for them."
Amid fears she might not make it, Nina - who is appearing on the upcoming series of Dancing On Ice - has given a hint on what her character's fate might be as she opened up about playing the much-loved Cobbles resident.
Speaking about her time on the soap so far and hinting her character will make it through the accident, she explained: "I do love the drama and the action scenes but I am lucky that I also get the light hearted fun stuff with Nina.
"I like it when Nina's happy because she has a lot more interaction with people and I think that that is my favourite side of Nina, sarcastic Nina and witty Nina. So it's kind of both in different ways. I like the action packed stuff because it was fun and it's a bit different. But my favourite side of Nina will always be sarcastic fiery fun Nina really."
Mollie confirmed she was going on the skating show earlier this year, as she appeared on Lorraine.
"I'm really excited. I've not really felt nervous yet but being here today I'm feeling it. I’ll be getting all the tips I can because I’m going to need it," she said, "I have managed to keep it secret but I can tell everyone now.
"I'm not the most coordinated but I don't want to spend my life being like I can't do this I can't do that."
